about
linear notes from homespun, over a Stone Delicious IPA ~
...i love throwaway tunes, thankfully i have written a few. (hargh!!) anyway, i wrote this tune with my brother Roy when he was visiting me here and we were tinkering in the homespun studio (...it's a room).
...this take i had thrown together quickly with a rhythm electric, voice, and loop and Chris, as he has been known to do, came by one day i think maybe a year or two ago and layered electric guitars, bass, and joined me in the locker room singing on the chorus.
...so this one was 2 sessions and just a few weeks ago i stumbled across is as titled like so many jams on my machine as "untitled # 31"
...i added some lap-steels on the same day as i mixed this one down and now it's a goner and it has lived up to the moniker "throwaway tune" and yet i remain confusingly hopeful.
sound as ever,
