linear notes from homespun, a nod over coffee,

...over the years i have soaked up bands from family and friends and my buddy sean of AND HOW turned me on to these guys, the trashcan sinatras. i always feel like there are great bands and it's up to me to dial into their frequency to unlock their goodness. these guys were an easy sell for my ears to be sure. they don't all unlock this for me....

actually, they are playing their first two albums tonight in their entirety this evening at club congress here in tucson. my friend sean and i took in a live show of there's some years ago here at PLUSH when they played here as well.

...this tune is from 2004's "weightlifting" album which could be a contender for my favorite album they have crafted. 2016's "wild pendulum" has really worked my ears over quite a bit these past few years.

all i had was a 2 hour session this AM to tip the kish hat to their albums and melodies hence the rush to wrap'er up. all voices and instruments first take, no lie, though also easy to detect i suspect. such as it as here @ homespun though....
